DreamStar Ladies set a date with Ibom Angels in NWFL Championship opener
DreamStar Ladies FC of Lagos will begin the process of returning to NWFL Premiership on Monday 13th of June, 2022 at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.
Like the NWFL Premiership playoffs in Benin, DreamStar Ladies FC will battle Ibom Angels of Uyo in the opening match.
Both teams relegated at the end of 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership season with DreamStar Ladies FC and Ibom Angels FC finished 3rd and 4th respectively.
Yes, it is a new season and a new tier of football, both teams will hope to get advantage over each other in an encounter considered to be the highlight of the 2022 NWFL Championship.
The Galacticas are favourites to get the maximum having recorded a 3 – 2 win against the Orange Angels at the Agege stadium in Lagos, during the regular season in 2020/2021 and a 2 – 2 draw in Benin, Edo State during the relegation playoffs.
Other match on Day 1 will feature Oasis Ladies and Royaltoms Queens in group A.
