NWFL Announces 2021/2022 Championship dates

12th June - 19th June 2022

The NWFL has announced that the 2021/2022 Season of the NWFL Championship will take place between 12th and 19th June 2022 at Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Dipo Dina International Stadium was the venue for last season’s Super 6, and the sports venue boasts of a world class 20,000 capacity main bowl, surrounded by 3 other synthetic 4G full size pitches. This among many other facilities are at the stadium and we are very pleased that the leadership of the NWFL has chosen this venue for this year’s Championship showdown.

We have been placed in a very strong Group A consisting of 5 teams (including DreamStar Ladies FC) whilst group B comprises of 6 teams. Each team will play once against other teams in their group and at the end of Match Day 5, the top teams in both groups will gain promotion to the Premier Division.
